Do you think this snake has a tigerish look? If ya don't like crosses, don't look

This is a female Salmon x Hog Isle Boa. Everytime she sheds her tail gets more orange. Looking @ her saddles.........do you think she has a "Tigerish" look to her? PLEASE I know ALOT of you don't like crosses, if ya don't like em...... please do not post your negative opinions. I'm looking for positive feedbacks, not sarcasism. Remember...if ya can't say something nice........ Thanks, Dave @ East TN Reptiles

Where's the cross? maybe Hogs "should've been" given distinct subspecific status...but,the fact IS they weren't. I know several people that have bred B.c.c. from mismatched localities, and,I know many more that have bred them, with no valid locality data at all...You know what they got?...beautiful babies, that could accurately be described as "locality intergrades",which is exactly what you have there! and,a very nice looking one at that!(I'd say it looks kinda tiger-ish too )

Where it was a Hog Isle bred to a Salmon............ everybody, including myself has called em crosses. Their both BCI BUT they are to different snakes. Alot of people love em. ALOT of people love to hate em. Here's a pic of a Hypo X Hog Isle

However, the only thing that has been crossed are two locality variations of the same subspecies, and two genetic traits...I have a friend that bred a Pucallpa Peruvian to an Iquitos,he sold the babies as "Peruvians",I thought they looked very different, but,no one called them "crosses"...You can look at the classifieds, and, see that anyone can call an animal just about anything they want to,but,at some point,to be honest, you just have to call them what they are,I think.(salmon/hogs=locality intergrade=pretty darned nice looking boa)

Kind of.....I might stay away from the name though. I think there is already a morph out there called the "Tiger" trait. It might confuse some people.

It really is a cutie though.

Hi,I am new to collecting boas, but this snake is kickass!Beautiful snake!I don't know why people have a problem with crossing snakes!Isn't that the goal,to produce the most beautiful snake possible? As long as you advertise it as a cross what's the big deal?If you compare snakes to dog breeds, alot of the so called purebred dogs would not be around today!Example a Doberman is a cross between a grayhound, rottweiller, great dane, and I think a few different terriers. The germans fine tuned them over the years, but still a mix! Also all these albinos I see that are a plain yellow,I don't see an attraction to them?Plus albinism in any animal is a weakness, and most albinos are not prfectly healthy.Yes they can live a normal healthy life, but take other animals, humans for example,an albino person has problems as far as seeing and being in the sun.And take Dalmations, they are not true albinos, but have albinism in their bloodline, thus they have many problems with their eyes.Albinism is not normal!Mixing breeds is!If mixing breeds weren't,we would not have a U.S.A.Just my thoughts, hey if you have one of those bad boys ya wanna trade,I have a 7ft unidentified male boa,I believe to be a peruvian mix of some sort.I have him in with my two Columbian juvenile redtails and need another juvenile because room is an issue.I have some pics if you would like to see him My email is curanovic@earthlink.net maybe you can identify him for me.Thanks,Donel
