trying multiple pics

jtclark Aug 23, 2004 12:06 PM

I just borrowed a digi over the weekend and actually got a few decent pics of my corn and new bairdi. Hopefully I can figure out how to get the pics here.

This is a pic of my baird that I forgot.

And here is a pic of my new pup. He has one eye that is blue on the top and brown on the bottom. This pic makes him look crosseyed because of it-lol.

How old is your bairdi? Where did you get her from? I just got two, myself, that are also CB '04.

She was hatched July 1. I got her from a guy at a show in Indianapolis. I was so excited to find a baird available I didnt get the guys name or card. He owned the parents but sold them to a buddy who produced them. He had 2 females that he brought along that his buddy had left.

It's funny, I spend all of my time researching all of these forums and boards and whatnot and then when I buy, I didn't use anything I had learned-lol. I just saw a bulge showing that she had just eaten and that was enough for me.

I love her demeanor. She is much more active than what my corn was. I still get a rattle of the tail when I first pick her up but she has never struck or musk me. Lets hope it stays that way.

does hawkeye herps ring a bell? That's who i got my babies from, unsure of the hatch date...but they're great. I jsut got them at the beginning of last week i've handled them before once and they shook their tails that kinda freaked me out just because i've never had that done before (though i knew about it), so i held them for a couple mins put 'em back then today i read about putting on a latex glove they dont like the taste if they bite you and what do they do? both bite my hand thru the glove, lol. didnt hurt though. but yeah mine are VERY active...I have a neonate black rat and licorice stick and they aren't anywehre near as active as these guys...I love 'em!

Great looking snakes.

That is one of the best looking amels i have seen.
And it is amazing how much the bairdi hatchlings look from the adults.
