I read on here or on the gen snake forum im not sure which that snakes dont like latex gloves and they probably wouldn't bite you if you were wearing a latex glove...yeah thats a load of BS. I just picked up my baby tx bairds and the first thing they did was start rattling their tails im like "im wearing latex im fine" and not 5 seconds later WHAP! Of course being so tiny they don't hurt...but yeah thats gotta be an old wives tale. So i continued to hold her for a couple minutes, put her back, got her boyfriend out and what does he do? The EXACT same thing! lol.

Well the snake WILL bite you regardless of wearing the latex gloves or not. The thing with the latex is that most snakes do NOT like the taste of the latex and they will start to associate the taste with your hands and 'MAY' stop biting your hands!

lol i think they liked it. This is only the second time i've handled them, and they didn't even try to bite me before but shook their tails a lot so i figured i'd be safe...I think they like the taste lol.

Snakes dont follow rules. What I do is drop a piece of soft cloth on them and give them a little rub down which puts them into flee mode then I just snatch them up with other hand.I have a couple hypos that wont even work on.They have aquired a taste for my blood.Im glad i have enough to spare.
