Non-Locale Pyro Pic..

jeph Aug 23, 2004 12:58 PM

Hi,
Heres a new pic of my non locale female #1 pyro. She laid 4 eggs this year-(she was bred x a male with 24 bands to the vent, she has 27 to the vent) and 3 hatched-(all 3 had small parts of the umbilical-not sure if thats the right word for it..?, hanging from them where the ventral scales scute together). They have had their first sheds now-(just the other day, and I havnt seen them yet, hopefully it has dryed and fallen off with the shed), the 4th egg did hatch, but it was kinked and I had to freeze him, but it had 25 bands to the vent, I was bummed on loosing that one. Anyways, I just took a new pic of her and wnated to share. Check out her 2 dots near the tail,I'm hoping that in the future she will pass that along to some offspring, spotted pyros would be neat looking. I'll post a closer shot of the dots next. Enjoy the pic,

Pretty cool Jeff I never noticed those spots B4. Would be cool to see a spotted pyro. Something to look for in the future!

Nice snake. Id really like to see a fully spotted pyro, that would be quite a snake. Good luck producing one!

I really like the pyros with black, especially the ones where the black bands touch a little on the backline. Nobody seems to have them though, everyone wants reduced black. Oh well, nice snake!
