trapping escape snakes?

mike17l Aug 23, 2004 02:54 PM

i have a yearling female blizzard that escaped this past week while i was out of town. i was thinking of making some kind of funnel traps out of hardware cloth and putting some live rat pinks in them over night? have anybody tried this for escaped snakes and if you have, have you had luck?

I will get flammed for this but glue traps and duct tape do work.I would set them up in hiding spots around the cage area and close to heat sources.Any cooking oil will take the glue off but expect to lose a few scales. It's either that or wait it out and hope for the best...Paul
