Help

My little bearded dragon has been having a problem since i got her from him. Today when i picked her up she started to vibrate and she looked like she died then she opened up her mouth and once i put her down she was back to normal.

Get to a vet NOW... You really don't give enough info to diagnose what the cause is, could be impaction, could be illness I really can't say for sure but it sounds neurological and either of those can cause that type of reaction.

I agree that you're not giving us much to go on. The most common problem I've seen where baby beardie have sort of seizures is when they aren't given enough calcium. Their legs and toes will twitch and they'll have seizures where they're muscles will lock up. After a few minutes they'll be fine. If this sounds like what's happening to your little guy, be sure to increase his calcium intake ASAP. If you do this and the problem continues I'd take him to a vet quick.

I strongly agree with HeartMountain that you should get him to the vet NOW! If you increase the calcium, your beardie may die before you have a chance to see if a deficiency is the cause of the problem. Spend a dollar & save his life.

How interesting!! Sometimes lizards especially if they are surprised will throw themselves into a spasm and fake death. They will curl there back and open there mouth and not move, when attacked by a predator. This could be the cause especially if you do not notice the spasms when she is just walking around in her enclosure. Still make sure to supplement properly just in case and shame on you for sneaking up on her ...Just kidding...lol
