Wow. I didn't see my hog’s breed and I cooled them! There's not much for you to do. Just let them go at it if you like. Unfortunately, there's a good chance your female doesn't have any eggs inside of her so the male’s doing all that work for nothing. But you never know. Next time your female shed's you might want to put in an egg laying box just in case she is gravid.

ok. I have a hoverbator ready for them. Odd hasnt been eating lately, so this would explain it. It wont over exhaust them, will it? I normally keep the two togehter, they seem to really respond to eachothers company.

I think that he will stop after he feels he's done his duty. I really don't know. I normally keep mine separate so maybe someone with more experience will chime in. Maybe your female is gravid and was giving your male a signal that she was ready??? That could be.

I mean, they are already stout snakes. Do they look fatter? Do they stop eating? How do you know?

I am pretty sure that if you feel down their belly with slight pressure towards their vent you can feel something that feels like a string of pearls. Just be careful to use GENTLE pressure. I really had no idea that pricilla was gravid until odd started mating with her. Then i felt her belly...i knew to do this because of the forums in cornsnakes. I figured that it wouldbe pretty close to the same with hogs.
