LLLReptile's chams?

boidsntegus Aug 23, 2004 07:44 PM

Has anyone ordered live animals from LLL reptile before? I am having the hardest time finding any jackson's chams (one guy has a classified add, but he emphasized captive "born", not bred, and no pics). LLL reptile has some for $99, but I have never ordered live animals from a major distributor before. Any experiences?

They have some jacksons.

I purchased my first veileds from there about 3 years ago, three babies. They all died within a month under optimal care conditions. I later talked to someone who sold veileds to LLL and he said they had told him it was ok to inbreed up to five generations and thats what he had been doing. Not sure if thats why mine didnt make it but there was definately something wrong with them. I'd suggest using a breeder and avoiding large stores or brokers, that way you can be sure what you are getting. Good luck finding your jacksons

I bought my first pair of VC's from them years ago, and they both arrived with MBD. Since then, I've chosen not to purchase any of their reptiles, but I still order dry goods from them. I really like the screen cages they sell.

I didn't mean to sound like I was talking crap about them. Like I previously stated, that was years ago. And I still order dry goods from them.

One of my best friends orders his geckos and tarantulas from them and he has never had a problem with their animals. Not once.

Everytime I need to order something, I try to get it from them. lol. I've been loyal customer for more than a year. They are great guys and very knowledgable. Awesome customer service, too. I'd recommend them definitely.

Truman showed me the packaging his leopord geckos came in and I was really impressed. They all arrived safe and sound and are doing great.

Personally, I just think it's more fun to pick out the animal I'm going to get. But If you were to buy one from them, I don't think you'd be disappointed.

as you can see by the responses, you may get a good cham from them and you may not. i really encourage you to try chameleon corral or another reputable breeder. LLL is not a breeder, just a reseller.

I've met the proprietor of chameleoncorral, and I can tell you that she is in it for the love of the chams. You will also be more certain about the origin of your animal.

I'd personnaly avoid chameleon corral. when i was looking for chameleons to buy a while back, i ask a whole lot of people, and (i mean a lot) about what they think of kammerflage kreations, Chameleon corral , Chameleon condo ect,.. and i heard very unpleasnet thigns about chameleon corral...

I heard she tells people things that they want to hear, but it isn't asactly the most truthful things. aparently she seems to change stories alot about the chameleons she sells. i also hear she buys chameleon from other and sells them as her own. One other person is very skeptical about the purity of bloodliens of her chameleons too.

Personnaly i'd stay away from a company that i've heard so many bad things about. I definately will head to kammerflage kreatiosn rigth away, as the kammers are the nicest people i've talk to. Not only that, i never recieved a single negative feedback on them.

Just my opinion and what i heard....
