easy questions

Rouen Jun 24, 2003 07:29 PM

I found a small 2 1/2" snapper on the side of the bike trail, I picked him up and he felt light(he's lighter than the little quarter sized hatchling I found yesterday), so I brought him home and tomorrow I'm going to try to feed him, he has small trout minnow in the tub with him, should I try feeding worms or are there better bugs I could find for him?
and when I go to release him would it be okay to put him in a completely different body of water or is he already imprinted on the area he came from?

Thanks

Worms should be fine also try fish as you have been and some insects (crikets ect). As far a just getting him to good helf you may just want to keep him a month most I wouldn't keep himj past first week o August that way he has to be in thw wild again before winter.
