our first baby

alieliza Aug 23, 2004 11:28 PM

Here is a picture of our first baby gecko.

It came from a hypo tangerine female, het for rainwater albino, and a hypo tangerine male, poss. het rainwater albino. Looks normal to me. It is a day old.

since this one was born a normal, when its clutchmate hatches, will it be a normal as well? or is it possible for one to be born normal, and the other tangerine or albino??

completely depends on the parents (and the genetics of the parents)

the clutchmate hatched today. It is a normal.

Should we be getting some tangerine babies? It would be a bummer not to.

How about rainwater albino? If the male (hypo tangerine poss het rainwater albino) is indeed a het for rainwater, and the female (she is a rainwater albino).... should we get some rainwater babies.

It is really to hard to tell if they are normals or not so early.
They aren't albinos but they may very well be tangerines. I have had a few black and yellow hatchlings turn into superhypo tangerines in a matter of a few months.
