I made the mistake too the first time I worked with Great Stuff expanding foam. They say that nail polish remover can take it off, THEY LIED. It has to wear off, period. Or you can pick it off piece by piece like I did with a razor and take your skin with it. Lesson learned, I bought a box of latex gloves and used them after that for working with the great stuff and the silicone so I didn't have to worry about cleaning that stuff of my hands, I just pealed off the gloves and threw them in the trash.

Great stuff, real great. I'm the friend who got it really bad and I'm regretting it. I've been soaking my skin in nail polish remover all morning and scrubbing my hands raw with brushes and there is some improvement, little, but some. Let this be a warning to anyone else who thinks it comes off like silicone, but I know you ppl are smarter. The only comforting thought is that I know it's worth it, the viv will look awesome.

are you sure it will be worth all the pain and suffering this misrable stuff has caused us hon? lol, i will be only too happy to never work with that sticky stuff again. hopefully now taht we got it off somewhat i can do my home work and touch paper once again. btw for all others, acetone will get it off, it just has to be the kind thats removes paint and resin. nasty stuff but i would wrather deal with that then not be able to touch paper::shudders::

Just to let everyone know, pure acetone, the stuff sold at the hardware stores as fiber glass and epoxy thinner, not nail polish remover, will help take it off, but I shouldn't even have to tell you it's hard on ones skin.

Nope, the acetone didn't work very well for me. Neither did nail polish remover, paint thinner, bleach, gasoline, alchohal (both kinds,) and lots of other stuff! Sooo, between hours of picking, and about a weeks worth of waiting, it finally came off!

Wow! At least I don't feel quite so blonde anymore! Now I know I'm not the only one who had to explain the story to all their friends family and coworkers. I love how on the can it says in little tiny print "if skin contact occurs wash off with soap and water" HA!. (Well, that's what it said o the stuff I used anyway) I work at a petstore so at least my boss understood why my hands looked like, well, ya know.
