I think your friend is pulling your leg....unless there's a PA in southern China! Of course, there is a possibility that it could be someones escaped pet. Hmmm....
Well that looks like an aquarium set up to me. water is too clear to be a lake (maybe a stream) and the way the logs and rocks are arrayed it looks like it s part of an enclosure. But i guess a trifasciata could survive a summer in PA.
