just quick question for those of you out there with older mbk's.
How big are some of the larger ones you've seen?

They average 3-1/2 to 4 feet.
I haven't seen very many longer than that,
although I suppose a very old one could hit
the 5 foot range.

Nice Tim,
He/she looks great.
If he is anything like the ones I have had they are alot of
fun to work with and just watch grow.

I had a pair of Nigritas years ago.
And thier offspring for a while.
My male was from Randy Wright it was one of his Alternate breeding males. This snake was one of my favorites.
He was 5'2" and a Monster eater and breeder. Jet shinny black with two faint white shades on his chin scales. He was perfect and sired multiple clutches. I had one of his offspring males until he was 4'10" until I sold him and I'm sure he was still growing.

My female was 4' 4" and was just as vibrant looking. I have to check my records as to where she was aquired from.
Just as well a great eater and breeder.

your male sounds almost like mine, hehe.

He's bout 6 years old and solid jet black with the exception of two white spots under his chin that kinda form a V shape. I did a rough measurement and he was 42 inches, but not exactly accurate because i can never get him to stay still long enough and, so he has plenty of turns and bends with the 42 inches. I dont wanna hurt the guy (im overly careful with him i guess =p). Was curious how he stacked up to others out there.

My Nigrita is around 16-17 inchs at about 12 weeks of age. John Cherry had told me this particular line of Nigrita (Lemke) matured at around an average of 4 1/2 feet. The mother is around 5 foot.
