Some cool news

Bushmaster Aug 24, 2004 06:41 AM

Today I discovered that the Philodryas olfersii that I thought to be a male is a female, and the female its a male(I am not dumb, I did not sexed them lol). The female was in shedding process and the male was frenetc around her. He was lickin a lot and moving his tail fast. So, he started to slide over her and try the cloaca justaposition. Unfortunately, I had to go out to the university, but I think that I will have a good surprise in the future.

I was right. I saw they copulating early today. Any philodryas keeper knows when can I expect eggs?
This week I bought a digital camera, but I didnt received it yet.

Congrats! Does this mean I can finally get some?

In regards to what you can expect, try and contact David Fabius, he has bred P. Aestivus, at the very least he can give you a rough idea.
