so I take it Height of enclosure is not a factor for Knob tails... and as long as the enclosure is long enough to supply a nice gradient from hot to cool... its all good... correct ?

what do you use as a heat source ? and what do you use as substrate ?

Hey,
For all of my knob tails (N.Levis) I use a 15 qrt sterlite box for housing individual adults. I use about 2 inches of filtered play sand as substrate. Bury a small plastic container in the sand and cut out a hole on the top. Place some moist vermeculite mix in the plastic hide box. This offers a humid retreat to help aid with shedding etc. On the warm end I used clay pots to offer hide spots. I also use 4 inch flexwatt to heat the back end of the cage. I always make sure the animals have a nice gradient to choose from. Has worked well. Introduce the male during breeding times, although some people keep their animals together with success. Hope this helps alittle email me if you have any further questions
