How many use Vacuum Sealers for Feeders?

diggy415 Aug 24, 2004 09:59 AM

I just got me one and although there are better ones out there, this one works great for FT and FK storage. You can feed dry by soaking in the bag and packed a meal at a time you don't have to keep resealing and lose bag space by cutting the seal lower and lower. For larger, one prey item snakes i seal indivual rats. Or the number of meals for one sitting for multiple snakes in another and reuse the bag later. Now all I need are more feeders to freeze and I'll be set. POP MOMMAS POP

I use a Foodsaver Professional model for just about everything, including feeders. Be careful when doing Large Rats because sometimes their toes/claws puncture the bag and air will leak out. I usually clip the toenails before I vac them. It is awesome to be able to thaw them in water and not get them wet!!!!!

Yeah that was a thought, or you can wrap them in scottowels also and their teeth might get in the way if opened. But anyway, just bought mine and so far so good when i can get it right that is.
