Desert Iggs

Well hello all,

I was just outside, and I saw my female DI munching some Gallardia flowers. I wish I had a camera.....I'd be a posting fiend. She looks like she may have grown, and her colors are simply spectacular. I kinda want to keep her around, so I keep my distance so as not to scare her. Its the first time in two weeks that I've seen her. I normally see the male around, so I'm pretty jazzed. Well, thats all for now.

Maybe you can lure her into a trap/ or noose by tossing tidbits of food within her sight. Mine ( Chucks & DI's ) react quickly to flowers tossed near em. DI's will go nuts ( Huuuggh Huh--he said nuts) when crickets or grasshoppers are thrown close by. Hopefully you have enough edible plants close by to keep her attention. Also-- use at least 6-8 pumps with an air rifle to keep cats away.

Good Luck!!

DVL
