Sexing a Beardie???????????

Chameleon996 Aug 24, 2004 04:44 PM

Can someone post me a couple of pics on how to sex a dragon? I had pictures in a magazine one time and now I can't find it. Joker was sold to me as a male and I was about to get him a female when my paranoia kicked in. If I don't check and make sure he is a male, then guaranteed I will buy a female and Joker will turn out to be a female also.

Here ya go.

And just because it needs to be said, you shouldn't house a male and female in the same enclosure full time. If you want to breed them, put them together for short periods to mate, but seperate them back to their own enclosures the rest of the time.

But you may have already known that. Just sayin.

I never would house any of my lizards together. I know it is to stressfull for them. Only my toads are housed together and they are both female.

Thanks for the reply and I appriciate your words of caution.
