The best substrate I've used is Duck Shelfliner from Wal-Mart. You can reuse it, the liquid part of the defacation doesn't soak into the substrate providing a breeding ground for bacteria and bad bugs.... you can wipe it clean with sterilizer untill you take it out and scrub it good... if you buy 2 you can interchange them and your not out the expense of sand or the hassle and health risk of it either.... PLus it looks great is very affordable at 5 bucks a roll which will do a 4 foot cage easily, and is much more healthy for your dragon than sand. So no more talk of this sand crap!!! Buy the shelf liner or else. J/K But it really is the best way to go.... if you try it you'll understand.

BTW.... when do you get your new baby? Tomorrow?
