Hey Mike,

Totally agree with you on all points, not that this will probably be around long enough for anyone to see lol.

I saw your post, so it didnt get deleted that quick! Although I dont know much about beardies, I know my baby was older then 2 weeks at his first shed. Since you say this is going to get deleted anyway, maybe i'll rant a little too. I was in the petshop the other day and saw the cutest baby beardie. When I asked about it the girl at the counter told me it was hers and she was selling her. she was getting picked on by her other two. (she was planning on breeding!) I asked her where she came from.. a distributor. She was selling her for $95.00! I couldnt beleive it. I havent seen one of that type anywhere for over 45. well.. anyway.. had to vent to someone. Petstores sure do take advantage of the uninformed public.

One thing that burns me is when they charge $1.00 for 10 crickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or $2.00 for one pinkie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talk about taking advantage! lol

LOL tell me about it! At least there is mail order. I like the petstore, but thank goodness for serious breeders.

They charge for pinkies like the mice are so hard to breed. 2 Adults , Wait a week and then you have babies :D , Whew that was hard, Now lets go charge 2.50 a piece haha and the bad part is we all buy it but hey id rather pay 2.50 then breed mice and get even smellier hehe.

For newborns to X-breeders (depending on season) Sometimes the larger ones cost more. I go straight to a Mouse Farm in St.Augustine & buy by the 100's all prefrozen. (fresh)

Yes I count my blessings.

The youngest I have ever had a clutch of babies start going through their first shed was at 23 days old. That is a little over 3 weeks old.

2 weeks and and been THROUGH their first shed? I find that VERY hard to believe
