I was feeding and observing my 3 White's treefrogs today, and while cleaning out the larger fecal chunks, I noticed that one of my frogs was pooping, but it was like diarrhea. It was white, not completely liquid, but definitely not a normal bowel movement. He still as an appetite from what I can tell, and is still active enough for a White's. I'm definitely nervous though, and I really don't have a vet around the area that would probably be able to help me with this. I was looking up frog diseases and illnesses on a web page, http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Meadows/5741/disease.html, and was slightly recognizing it as: Gastrointestinal Disorders
"Captive bred "White's" maintained under unsanitary conditions and imported White's tree frogs sometimes develope gastrointestinal disorders. Typical symtoms include water stools and weight loss. Diagnosis will require the help of a veterinarian for the proper diagnosis of the disease. Treatment however can be difficult since recomendedmedications for treatment may end up being harmful to frogs. Sulfamethazine (used for treating coccidiosis and other bacterial diseases) and Metronidazole (used for treating protozoins) are usually safe for use with with's tree frogs."
None of the other two frogs show any indication of anything. But the one that is leaving the watery poop doesn't show any sign of weight loss. This is also not the first time for this kind of poop-I saw a white spot in the dirt a while back, but had not seen where it came from. I will be quarantining the frog tomorrow morning, when I'm able to clean out another aquarium. The most likely suggestion is to go to a vet...but as I said there aren't any around. Please help with what you can...thank you.
