proud new owner of 10 unsexed 1-2 month old leo's, but i didn't think they would be this young and small so i'm having problems with food. if i cut big mealworms in half and put them in a dish will they eat it? cause i don't really have any small mealworms or crickets. will they eat dead mealworms? thanks

they PROBABLY wont eat dead mealies. the 1" mealworms are fine for babies. Ron Tremper feeds ALL his geckos 1" mealies.

USUALLY they wont eat dead mealies, especially if they've been dead for any amount of time.... the best advice i can give is to cut the large mealworms in 1/2 and use tweezers/forceps to "dangle" the mealie halves in front of the geckos to imitate that they are still alive. if nothing else, you can order smaller mealworms online (i use www.sunshinemealworms.com) and they are cheeper than buying them from a petstore or baitshop.
