General question for the forum

Hey all...I just wanted to throw this out there and see what kind of responses I got...

I know that quite a few of us here keep quite a few exotic venomous snakes. I'm curious as to how many of us are prepared in the event that the unthinkable happens and we are one day bitten by one of our charges. Do we carry our own supply of antivenin (tough to do with the federal regs), or do we know someone that does? Basically, do we have access to antivenin for the species that we keep?

After a somewhat protracted break from keeping hots, I have just started back up again...Granted, in Az I can only have the native stuff...(I currently have a very pretty C. scutulatus). But even with native hots, antivenin is rarely in abundant supply, and I can only think that this would be doubly so for many of the exotic species being kept by private individuals.

Anyone care to give their .02?
