Rat food question...

symatic Aug 25, 2004 02:14 AM

I just got my colony(i consider it a colony) going and seem to be having a real problem finding food in my area(LA,CA).buying it online is really expensive because of shipping. I've heard of ppl feeding them dog food. Is this a good option? If so can you recommend some brands..

thanks sym

I feed anything that does NOT have red dye, is moderately inexpensive and the little cusses will eat. So far they think Iams (got given a bag) is GACK, like Blue Seal Krunchies and LOVE the expensive stuffs....like Chicken Soup and other Diamond types.

Look up Rodent Ranch in the San Fernando valley phone book. I used their lab chow with great results.
