I have had a similis for about 6 months. I am experienced in green Iguanas and chameleons, but these are new to me and I am surprised at the lack of good info on them. My similis seems to have scraped off the top layer of his skin. Instead of black bands over brownish white, the skin is just white. This is only a spot about an inch in diameter. The white spot has scales and is perfectly normal, besides the color. I thought the normal skin would grow back, but the spot even shed, and stayed white. There is also another small spot on his leg, which was also a scrape. These scrapes were caused by metal cage fencing, that he squeezed up against. Will these spots return to normal slowly after a couple sheds?
P.S.- I am 100% sure this is not an infection of any kind, because I was there when he scraped off the skin.
Thanks for any help or good info on similis in general
