A MALE for Sara | Take 2

xelabou Aug 25, 2004 11:03 AM

My local petshop guy is going shopping reptiles soon.

Here's a better definition picture to show less and bigger white spots than collaris pattern.

Which male could be the best partner :
C.Collaris Yellowhead
C. Baleyi (Like Eve's Zuni and Hopi couple)

Thank for any advice

Hello,

Is this the same sara as last time??????
On this photo she looks more like a Cr. collaris collaris from new mexico. yellow version with yellowhead males.
On the picture you see a couple of this kind.
also next message a photo of a female with big spots.

Yes, thats correct and also incorrect.
In Holland they started to call them "insularis".
Normaly the name "insularis" is a old name for bisinctorus.

The real name of the annimals of the photo's is:
Cr. collaris collaris. They come of the area new mexico.
So you can also say: Cr. collaris "new mexico".

Sorry for that misundertood.
Its diffyculd to discribe them since al the collaris species are bring back under one name.

Kind greetings Peter

I called back Simon, my local petshop guy.
I told him that I want the youngest male possible.

But he replied that yellowhead for sale are mostly wild caught and by the way, not juveniles anymore.

Is it a bad idea to get a bestial and wild male for my tame female ?

Are there issues of agressivity between collareds male vs female?
Except mating for sure
