hi, i'm new to rosy boas and recently obtained a pair of harquahalas. the male ate for me three times and the last two weeks doesn't seem interested. the female eats like a champ.

My adult Rosy males rarely eat when going into shed or in shed and this can be a couple of weeks. Most of my adult females eat during shed and eat even when gravid! The males also go off feed when breeding season arrives. Also, i have found that the males prefer hopper size mice, where as the adult females will wolf down an adult mouse with ease. I have one lucky little fella who has 8 ladies to service. He never eats during the breeding season. After all the females are gravid, he will start eating again.
