Well for my set-up this is what I have. I have a layer of potting soil with a layer of moss on top. There is a water dish, a dish for calcium powder, and a dish for mealworms. They also need branches to climb and bask on. The need UV lighting and a source of heat. You also need to mist the cage 1-2 times a day. I feed mine waxworms, mealworms, and crickets. A gallon would be fine for one anole, but I think he/she would prefer another lizard to share it's home with because they become lonely. Hope this helps.

I meant to say a six gallon tank.

you don't bneed a water dish, because it NORMALLY won't drink out of it anyway.... and you alson don't need the calcium dish.... well.... ive never read of using it for anoles, anyway

Mine drink from the water dish. Also, a calcium dish isn't very important if you dust your crickets with calcium twice a week.

Hi I currently own two green anoles(one male and one female), and they are in a twenty gallon tank with a heat lamp and a UVB light. You should have at least ten gallons per anole. You need to mist them 2-3 times a day and they need 2-5 crickets per day (keeping in mind these crickets are no longer than the width between their eyes). Also they should be fed small mealworms and silkworms, adding in a few waxworms occaisionally as a treat. The crickets should be dusted once a week. I think you're fine keeping it in the 6 gallon when its small but you will eventually have to get a bigger tank, thus spending more money in the long run!

Green Anoles don't get lonely. It can even stress them out having a tank mate. So don't think they need a roomie.
