Panther Chameleon life span...

repaddict Aug 25, 2004 01:50 PM

I'm thinking about buying a 2 year old panther chameleon but I read the life spans of these chams are 2-4 years. Is this true? If so, I'd much rather buy a baby and have the pleasure of raising it. What do you all suggest? Thanks in advance for any info.

A lot depends on how the cham has been cared for. Most healthy cb chams live longer than 2 years unless there is an accident or illness. They are living longer, but 5-6 years is pretty good for a male. If the cham is not expensive and is healthy an adult is easier for a new keeper than a baby would be.
