My boyfriend caught 5 toads from around his work and he has them in a terrerium. The one is really small and hasn't been able to eat any crickets. He has bitten off a few feelers but that's it. The crickets crawl all over the toad. Is there something else we can feed him.

Also how do you tell their genders? Is it possible? I have no idea what kind they are yet.

Also how much room do they need to live? I don't think they like to live all close together right?

It would be best to return them to the wild.

Toadlets are capable of eating "pinhead" crickets. They can be purchased online. If you can't get anything into him within the next day or two, it would be better to release him.

At this age, there are no gender specific characteristics.

As adults, the most I put together is two per 10g, although a 20g would be best suited for a pet situation.

I read up on toads and I think they are American Toads, that's what they look like. But I thought that they mated early spring or something so would the smaller ones be toadlets? Or would it be full grown and then obviously not an American toad?

If there armirican toads your gona need a 75 gollan tank or bigger. But even in the best tank there beter off in the wild. please let them go.
