I purchased some hollow-core door blanks from Lowes and built a rack from them. With hindsight I wish I would have purchased a slightly higher quality door, possibly masonite.
With the doors I ended up with I did not feel comfortable cutting them down similar to the rack on riobravoreptiles.com. Instead I used the entire door for each level. I really would have prefered to build two separate racks.
But the rack has worked well and was cheap. This is a great way to build racks for boxes longer than 32".

thanks Chris,the riobravo looks cool and lite weight,another ? where can i find 1/4" glass tracks.Thanx again.Chris
Provided your door panels will be about 2' square or less the plastic glass tracks will work. I have used it for larger doors and am not sure it was the best idea.
Rockler.com has a nice brown plastic track as well as a real wood track.
If you have a Do It Best Hardware in your area you can ask them to order the Knap & Vogt product on their website if they don't have it on their store shelves. I believe they have a policy of not charging shipping for their website products.
A word of warning, though. The K&P product is listed as "tan". It is actually orange.
