from time to time while handling my yrs he seems to "twitch" like his muscles tense up then relax really fast...sort of like a crack head...he will do this several times then finally relax. has anyone had experiance with this? got any ideas as to what this could be?

This is normally a breeding thing. I don't know about other people's snakes, but I've never seen a non-sexually mature snake do this. I've seen/experienced this also when they touch something they aren't used to (like if you normally use papertowel substrate and then switch to aspen shavings) or if you hold them a little too tight.

It's nothing to worry about.
