Hi yall ya know I have had bloods for a little while I thought that the blood were pretty easy to care for once you have all the material etc but heck I just got my red tail yesterday and it didnt hesitate to eat the mouse. I put the mouse in front of them boom, snap, took it. While my blood I have to wait a minute or 2 before he strikes at it now I know what everyones talking about that bloods arent for beginners while red tails are more for beginners. I thought that was pretty interesting

Hey Tegu,
You might be on to something there. LOL! Congrats on the Red Tail feeding trial success.

how long it takes for them to start feeding? Rhianon insists on no one disturbing the cage for 10-15 minutes after prey is placed inside and then she must "play" with it for an hour or two before finally taking near her favorite hide (she only uses one) and constricts it (half her body is in the hide, half is out) then eats it from her hide.

funny, when i offer food on tongs she doesn't constrict and 1/2 the time i place it in she does.
