Anyone have a new copy of "North American Watersnakes, A Natural History" by J Whitfield Gibbons? It goes for around $50. Just wondering if you think it's worth it.

I heard about it and was wondering the same thing. I was thinking about going ahead and throwing down the money sometime soon. Let me know as well if you hear anything.

...and it is co-authored by Whit Gibbons and Michael Dorcas. It has got TONS of information backed up by an immense bibliography. The color plates are great too.
I got it for $39.95 from Barnes and Nobles. Search around and you should be able to get it cheap.

It sure is. It was published in May after 6 years of preparation. A lot of work went into the book and it really shows.
