classic looking eastern

willstill Aug 25, 2004 09:46 PM

This is my adult female Burlington Co. NJ eastern kingsnake. She is 2 years old and about 40 inches. Her mother was reportedly a monster, nearly 7 feet.

This girl is about as classic looking as they come, enamel white chains on an indigo background. I am (obviously) way into the colorful GA animals, but there is just something about a nice black and white eastern (of any locale) that is hard to beat. Thanks Keith.....Bro, I owe you one for this girl.

FANTASTIC ! She is looking great. I love those high chains its what comes to mind when I think of an Eastern but in my book they are all pretty spectacular.

P.s. Is the male cleaning up at all ?

Actually the male is going through a shed now. I'll post a pic as soon as he's done. He gets darker with each shed, so at this point, I'm hoping he continues to get darker to the point that he's totally, or almost totally black.

Weird. Maybe he is a late bloomerlol. Then again look at my Monmouth Co. animal. His bands are super thin but it looks like alot of his white scales become saturated with dark pigment as he aged ??? So maybe your guy is doing the same thing.
