getting all of shed skin off big deal?

maclen Aug 26, 2004 11:51 AM

my beardies, as well as my uros have little patches of skin on their heads and tails....i mist them every day a little bit, but it doesnt seem to do to much. They have gotten the majoirty of the skin off, but what i really want to know is if them having a little patch of unshed skin on their head or tail or wherever is really a big deal? will it harm them or anything or is it just unattractive?

It shouldn't be a problem so long as its not constricting their blood flow. I've seen problems where unshed skin has caused problems on the tip of tails. Give the guys a good warm bath, that should solve the problem. Also, some have suggested putting oinments on the skin (haven't done this myself, but its supposed to be effective).

it shouldnt be a problem but if you want to get it off try rubbing with a little bit of mineral oil. just dont get it in the eyes.
