This is Corky my male Uroplatus pietschmanni. I think it is amazing how there is so much size difference between my male and female. My male is about half the size of my female.

is that an all-screen cage you keep him in?

Mad_1234 Aug 26, 2004 07:59 PM

It is not quite an all screen cage, the front, back and bottom is glass but the sides and top are screen. I have tried using both glass and screen cages but the geckos seem to be much more active in a screen cage and it is easier for me to stimulate the natural day to day cycle for the geckos. Most people say to use glass cages to keep up the humidity up but in actuallity the humidity during the day where pietschmanni is just about 60% which is less than just the ambiant air humidy in my gecko room. At night I spray my geckos and have and ultrasonic humidifier that goes on and those bumps the humidity up to about 90%. Also umpo_aspied(can't quite remember your screen name) does your female still have those calcium sacs? I just went on a week vacation and when I came back the sacs were gone.

haha, most people cant remember what my name is until the know what it means, just try reading it upside down. anyway, yes both of my females have calcium sacs on their throats, and they have since not changed. their weights have seemed not to change much, so i dont think there have been anymore eggs past the infertile clutch laid a while ago. but im still keeping my eyes open.
