A lesson from Daisy.....kinda long...

mmfrankford Aug 26, 2004 12:41 PM

Daisy is a rescue from some irrresponsible cousins of mine. My aunt buys them whatever when they whine, without taking any time to learn about the animal they are getting or supplying it with the right environment.
( If you haven't noticed I don't care much for them)
This is for those who are new to insect eating reptiles. Here is a good example of why you shouldn't let uneaten crickets roam around the cage. Poor Daisy had lost most of her toes and claws to hungry crickets. Hungry crickets will snack on your reptile!
The good thing is despite the abuse in her early life. (Lost toes and broken tail) Daisy is one of the sweetest geckos I have known. She doesn't run from people and I can hand feed her. And she definitely can be full of attitude when it comes to the other geckos.
She is definitely my favorite reptile.
