fuzzies would probably be more appropriate, or better yet, rat pups. Frozen is preferable to live, if they will take it. By utilizing frozen feeders you dramatically reduce the risk of parasites infecting your animals. Also, frozen mice/rats do not bite back...

ok i think ill get fuzzies maybe alive maybe frozen

I would suggest rat pups. I have 3 year old jcp's that I only fed mice for the first year. When I tried to switch them over to rats it was too late! When I stick rats in front of them, they are repulsed by the smell. I have tried every tip and trick recommended to get them to switch but have had no luck. A good sized jcp will eat many, many mice to satisfy its appetite. You will want to feed them rats in the future. Save yourself the frustration and grief of trying to switch their food. (Some people have no problem switching their pythons over, but jcp's tend to be stubborn) If I ever get baby carpets in the future I am definitely feeding them only rats. Also, I would second the frozen/thawed idea for any rodent prey.

Maybe not rat pups. I think they're called rat pinkies. Anyways, find the smallest rat "babies" you can find. They may look large for your small snakes but I've read several times you will be impressed at the prey size these young pythons can eat. If you just got the pythons, you might want to get a meal or two of mouse in first, but try to switch to rats asap.

It has been very frustrating to try switching over to rats. My jungle carpet pythons eat many, many mice at their feedings and it takes forever to feed them. It would be so much easier to feed them one decent sized rat.

good luck.
