I know everyone wants to import their own million dollar morph but, how do you get involved in importing. Just wanting to know how to get a few animals w/out the middle man. Alittle info please.

You are going to spend some serious money and have large orders, otherwise it just doesn't really pay. Your better off finding a local importer and pre paying him in advance for a large portion of his incoming order, that way he can get the money up front to help reduce the burden of the cost and he is already experienced with reliable exporters.

If you don't know who your dealing with over there you can really get screwed.

But if you must you have to start out with the U.S. Wildlife Authorities and importing agencies, and know all the C.I.T.E.S. Laws and regulations.

I wanted to get started importing so I did all the checking and finaly placed an order with an importer that said there was no min. amount. Then he got back in touch and told me it wasn't worth his time unless I was ordering between $7000 and $10000 in animals. it stoped at that point. Next step I got intouch with a breeder that already does importing. He told me I could give him $1000 or what ever I wanted to spend and he would handle everything else. Sounded like what I had in mind.

You see all this cool stuff everywhere and hear about all kinds of other cool stuff being imported. I just want to pick through or even order some cool stuff!!! Wouldn't mind going and looking directly from the collecting sites. Heck, I would love to even go catch the stuff myself! Any Info on that? Thanks Greg

you could but not in some countrys. For instance you would never be able to go to Colombia and even leave the city to the jungle accross the street because of the garillas armed with ak-47's.

I'm not joking about monkeys with guns but the drug runners and kidnappers there, even the people who own the boa farms drive armored vehicles and have body gaurds.

Now some other countrys are safer but do not allow wild caught specimens to be exported so easily without proper documentation and if you think you can sneek one in , you will loose every right to ever own one legally and have you been to the airports lately? they strip search all the luggage before and after international flights not to mention swab any kind of electronics for drug or explosive residue.

If you would like me to be your eyes and hands I am in contact with 4-5 local importers and I do get the priveledge of hand picking my own stuff.

I would just leave it up to the pro's

Besides all that,ever wonder what doing time in a 3rd world prison would be like ? I`m thinking my chances would be better dealing with the Cartel' LOL!!
I dream of the day I can afford a trip to Hondo land :sigh:
