safe plants and flowers for cresteds...

alieliza Aug 26, 2004 03:43 PM

I would love to put some natural (potted) plants into my new screen cages for my cresteds. I prefer potted for now, as i am have never tested the waters of vivarium, but would like to start with something easy.

I think that flowers look absolutely beautiful, and I remember seeing someone mention that they use azaleas.

I would like to know what plants and flowers are safe for my cresteds.

Thanks.

I am planning on using plants in an esu fresh air habitat. (Screen). Because of this, Im sure the plants need to be potted.
Is this ok? What plants work best in pots and work best for cresteds?

Thanks.

why would they need to be potted?

well, I cant very well put soil on the bottom of a screen cage (i dont think). It will come out of the sides, out of the screen. -- messy

like a reptarium? they make "soft trays" for the bottom of them, so that you can put dirt in.... or just make somehting.... but maybe potte plnats are better......
