Krystal19_85 Aug 26, 2004 04:19 PM

A friend of mine and I both need plans on CO2 chainbers... I did a search on here and the old forum archives and I can't seem to find any good plans... if you have detailed plans and/or plans with diagrams PLEASE get ahold of me ASAP. Thanks!

take it to your hardware store and get a small(the smaller the better probably) hard side icechest,a 1/2 X 1/8 couper (Im not exactly sure of this so check the fit) a 1" piece of1/8 pipe and a T fitting to go on the inside of the ice chest and hold it together. take a drill and drill a hole in the side of the ice chest that the pipe will fit snugly through. put the pipe through the hole and secure the coupler to it on the outside and the t fitting on the inside(use teflon tape.)Screw the quick change into the coupler with a un pirced 12 gram co2 powerlet slowly pierce the cartrige this will fill the chest with co2. BE CAREFUL THIS IS HIGH PRESSURE GAS THAT COMES OUT VERY COLD IT CAN BURN YOU AND BLOW UP IN YOUR FACE IF YOU HANDLE IT IMPROPERLY IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBT PLEASE DONT DO THIS

If you have access to dry ice, I can give you simple plans. The smaller the bin the better (less volume to fill with CO2). Put a container inside a sealable bin filled with water. Put your feeders inside and drop the dry ice in the water. Seal the bin and wait 10 minutes (at most). When the ice contacts the water it will give off CO2 gas. The size of dry ice you need will depend on bin size. Experiment with it.
