Has Anyone Heard Of A BLonde Russian Tort

I recently bought a blonde russian tort from a reptile show...It a pretty little girl but i feel the guy was pulling my leg...Despite my dibelief I bought her becasue she also had a cool personality...Can anyone tell me if you heard about this type of russian or is it possible that I have another tort...By the way I will try to have a pic of her in a day or two..>Take care

Russians are actually better about this than Leopards. If you take note of captive raised Russians that were raised indoors you will see that new growth is usually colorless/yellow. It could be genetic but it doesn't appear to be so.

As long as you didn't pay for the trait you are doing ok.

Yes there is such a thing. I am not sure if you can tell that it will be blonde at birth unless he has a special breeding program maybe not really sure. I got this one as a gift did not know it was a blonde until it was older and then I found the correct terminology on the internet.

Matt Rand's 8 adults from 1991 have produced 62 CB Russian's over the years and after seeing 25-30 of them they'd all be called "Blondes". Most CB Russian's aren't as dark as their WC brethren. His 9 year old CB's are much lighter than his orginal WC adults.
