I have a 100W basking light for my 3 baby pastel RES. I'm starting to think that this might be to much for them. Should I be using a 75W, or is the 100W ok? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

It doesn't matter how many watts the bulb is, you need to check the temperature on the basking spot. You want the basking spot to be around 90 degrees. If you are using a 100 watt bulb you will have to put it farther from the basking spot to achieve that temp. It is very important to know the temps of your water and basking spot.
