Just reminded me of my landlord telling me a couple weeks ago that he shot 3 smaller alligators in a pond behind his place (also near gainesville),i would turn him in , in a heartbeat if i could prove it...what a bunch of a$$wipes,afraid of a couple year old alligator oh he also shots plenty of black racers....redneck mentality i tell ya

guess i should have read it first,if it was my dog i may have done the same
