Sometimes I don't know what is driving me to do it - the website that is. Then I think back to Egor, my very first dragon, and I think about how much I loved him and how much I miss him. I've had cats, dogs, and birds, but I never really "connected" with them in the same way I did with Egor. He had such personality - just like all the beardies do. He really opened my eyes to the wonderful world of bearded dragons! We had a lot of good times. I was really heartbroken when he died in my arms last August from MBD.
I've learned a lot since then and have been determined to help others win the battle against MBD. So many beardies die because their owners weren't informed of the proper care techniques. I feel that I have to share the little bit of knowledge I have with other beardie owners. Because I messed up and I live with that everyday of my life.
Oh boy, I bet you wish now that you hadn't said anything. Sorry to bend your ear so much. I have really enjoyed your posts Christy. And thanks for the wonderful compliment. I promise that BeautifulDragons.com will only get better from here!
P.S. I've never told anyone this, but it was really Gunilla's (Teo, the bearded dragon) webpage that made me want to have a webpage of my own. I owe a lot to her. =D

Beautiful Dragons
I'm one of those people that think everything happens for a reason, Karma, what goes around comes around, etc.
Perhaps you lost one dragon so you could help thousands of others.
No matter what the reason, I think you've made an awsome contribution toward beardie health.
