Greens Question

turtlemoon Aug 27, 2004 10:40 AM

Is chicory okay to feed my RES? Is it just as good for them as romaine lettuce and dandelion greens?

I don't know about chicory....never used it before. I rotate through dandelion greens, collard greens, turnip greens, mustard greens, romaine, and kale.

Thanks for your reply. Has anyone ever fed their turtle chicory? My mom brought home a whole bunch of it and I just want to make sure it's okay before I give it to the piggles.

yes chicory is good to feed. i rotate that for my turtles. its actually quite nurtritious, more so than romaine lettuce,it has a high calcium content. definitely throw some in for your turtle.
