we always joke that kaiser is a simple mountain lizard since my parents bought him in WV. well i am starting to believe that it is true.
one day ivan was digging (she normally digs and then a week later digs again and lays her eggs). she was looking lumpy and was breathing heavy as she was pushing the sand around. i felt bad for her but knew she would like her sand house. i leave the lizard area and then return like an hour later. she had made a beautiful little cave and was sitting in front of it. i looked closer and kaiser was in her cave!!!!!!! i told him he was wicked to steal a pregnant lizard's cave but i guess it was big enough because ivan went in and the two slept there that night!
he loves ivan and cannot stand to be without her. i even had to move him into the paper towel cage to make him calm back down. i think he likes her in a motherly way because he shows no signs of sexual interest, but they are cute together.
