Hello there, with regard to your natrix search, there have been a couple of people who were able to aquire them (or, one in each case). However these have been more by accident than intent. They just stumbled upon them. The Kingsnake.com archives can provide info into their history. The only person that I'm aware of (again through this forum) who is actively persuing the breeding of natrix is Mr. Jan Grathwohl in Europe.
I'm pleased to see that you have an interest in these terrific snakes! I had the opportunity to rear some of them when I was (much) younger.
But, if your interest is with semi-aquatic snakes in general, then (if you live in the "Americas"
our nerodia offer all the benefits of natrix natrix and more in; form, colour, habitat and most importantly - accessibility.

Yeah, I figured they'd be hard to get hold of. I do live in the US, but when it comes to the Natrix natrix is kinda like a history thing with me. I was born and raised in Sweden, and I love the natrix. But I know you can't touch them in Sweden, so that might be the reason why there aren't any available.
