sexual maturity

ReptileStu Aug 27, 2004 01:16 PM

I have 2.1.1 Leop's and am wondering at what weight and age they may start breeding? I originally thought that I had 1.2 but one of my "females" has turned out to be a male.I keep them all together despite knowing that males will fight. The males actually spend most of their time together basking on the heat rock and the female spends her time in the moisture chamber. The males seem to enjoy eachother. Their weights are between 35 and 40 grams. Thanks Stu

Well a good sign of sexual maturity would probbaly be that your males will start to fight! and also you should not be keeping un-mature males and females togther, the females could get pregnant too early and become egg-bound. females should be bread when they are 50 grams.

YES, or get a (secure...) cage divider.
